What to Expect

  1. Gain a deeper understanding of the rules governing kinase signaling pathways
  2. Explore the underpinnings of the human phosphoproteome and its significance in cellular functions
  3. Broaden our understanding of protein phosphorylation in other kingdoms of life

Speaker: Dr. Jared Johnson, PhD - WCM Affiliate, Meyer Cancer Center — Lewis Cantley Lab (WCMC)

Dr. Jared Johnson is a scientist in Dr. Lewis Cantley’s laboratory. at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. He holds a Ph.D. in biochemistry from Cornell University (Ithaca) where he studied
small G-protein signaling under the mentorship of Richard Cerione. His research focuses on protein kinase substrate specificity and the regulation of phosphoinositide kinases. He has developed a discovery platform that enables researchers to identify cellular targets for serine/threonine and tyrosine kinases, which can decipher their use in signaling pathways from phosphoproteomics data. In this webinar, he will discuss how protein phosphorylation influence cellular signaling pathways.
