About KRAS: KRAS, which stands for Kirsten rat sarcoma viral oncogene homolog, is a gene that plays a crucial role in cell signaling pathways and is closely associated with cancer development. It is part of a family of genes known as RAS genes, which includes HRAS, NRAS, and KRAS. These genes encode proteins involved in transmitting signals from the cell surface to the nucleus, regulating cell growth, differentiation, and survival.
