In this webinar, Jack Vanden Heuvel PhD, our CSO, will review recent environmental toxicology research that employs an alternative workflow for evaluating water samples. This method allows researchers to maximize the number of receptors and pathways evaluated while providing better throughput and toxicologic information.

The speaker will highlight several specific pathways grouped by the following biological functions:

  • Toxicology and inflammatory pathways
  • Reproductive and developmental effects
  • Xenobiotic and bile acid metabolism
  • Lipid and energy metabolism
  • Central nervous system and basal metabolism

Speaker:

Jack Vanden Heuvel, PhD, Professor of Molecular Toxicology, Pharmacology & Toxicology Undergraduate Program Coordinator, Penn State University; Chief Scientific Officer, INDIGO Biosciences, Inc.
Dr. Vanden Heuvel is a recognized expert in the field of nuclear receptor biology and toxicology with over 100 peer-reviewed publications. In addition to his role as Chief Scientific Officer at INDIGO Biosciences, Dr. Vanden Heuvel is a Professor at Penn State University where he is Program Coordinator of the undergraduate Pharmacology and Toxicology Program and leads an extramurally funded research program.
