CRISPR genome editing

Use of the CRISPR (clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats) and associated Cas9 enzyme for genome editing has been a major technological breakthrough, making genome modification in cells and organisms faster, more efficient, and more robust than previous genome editing methods. The Alt-R CRISPR-Cas9 System is an optimized genome editing solution that outperforms other CRISPR approaches for producing on-target, double-stranded DNA breaks.

Alt-R CRISPR-Cas9 system

Efficient CRISPR reagents based on the commonly used Streptococcus pyogenes Cas9 system for lipofection or electroporation experiments. Protospacer adjacent motif (PAM) = NGG.

Alt-R CRISPR-Cas12a system

The Alt-R CRISPR-Cas12a (Cpf1) system is an alternative developed by IDT to open up CRISPR editing to organisms with AT-rich genomes and to additional areas in genomes which are not available to the Cas9 system.

Genes & gene fragments

Single- and double-stranded DNA fragments and cloned genes for synthetic biology and other molecular biology applications

IDT's high-fidelity synthetic genes and gene fragments are the result of a long-standing commitment to innovative chemistry, optimized methods, and a robust manufacturing infrastructure. These products are built using their Ultramer® DNA Oligos, which set the standard for quality within the industry, and every gene or gene fragment you receive shares or exceeds that consistently high quality.

gBlocks® - double-stranded DNA fragments

gBlocks® gene fragments can be used for easy gene assembly, genome editing, as qPCR standards, and for much more. 125 bp to 3000 bp in length, they are shipped in only a few business days.

Next generation sequencing (NGS)

Adapters and xGen® capture

Next generation sequencing (NGS) technologies are rapidly becoming an integral part of genetic research and discovery. The ability to generate large amounts of sequence data in a relatively short amount of time enables a wide range of genetic analysis applications and accelerates advances in research, clinical and applied markets.

Critical to the success of obtaining high quality results in NGS experiments is the availability of high quality tools to effectively prepare fragment libraries representing the original nucleic acid samples. From platform adapters to their portfolio of xGen® products for targeted sequencing, IDT’s mission is to deliver innovative, high performing NGS products to enable you to increase your discovery power.

Adapters for next generation sequencing platforms

IDT manufactures custom and catalog adapters for any NGS platform. Choose from a variety of barcoding and error correcting strategies, including designs with unique dual index (UDI) barcodes and unique molecular indicators (UMIs).
