XBP1 Antibody
XBP1 Antibody (catalog# NBP1-77681) Novus Biologicals announced today a new XBP1 Antibody (NBP1-77681) for use in immune response and endoplasmic reticulum stress research. X-box binding protein 1 (XBP1) is a nuclear transcription factor which activates the unfolded protein response during endoplasmic reticulum stress response. Specifically, XBP-1 is upregulated during ER stress, and directly binds the unfolded protein response element to induce mis-folding of several downstream proteins. XBP-1 is also essential for the growth and differentiation of hepatocyte and plasma cells, as well as some brain development and cognitive ability formation. It has been implicated in a wide range of disorders, including Alzheimer’s disease, major affective disorder type 7, Crohn’s disease and IBS. Novus’ new XBP1 Antibody (NBP1-77681) has been validated for use in immunofluorescence staining of human and mouse samples. However, we also offer an Innovator’s Reward™ Program for testing in novel species and applications.
